today was Memorial Day, and we performed at our weekly hang at Hurricanes Bar and Grill in Huntington Beach, CA.

these photos are difficult to take. theres a bunch of people dancing in front of me, the band is playing, and i grab a camera and shoot a photo of me in between singing and playing. its always funny to me when i finally see the end result.

surf and sand resort 5/25/08

today we played poolside for Memorial Day Sunday at the Surf and Sand Resort in Laguna Beach, CA.

today we performed for a wedding celebration at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines in La Jolla, CA.

tonight we performed for the Directors of the Riverside Community Hospital at the Surf and Sand Resort in Laguna Beach CA.

Los Angeles River 5/17/08

today we performed for the Friends of the Los Angeles River L.A. River Clean Up in Long Beach, CA.

Mayor Bob Foster, Gabe De La Parra, Lewis MacAdams.

Mayor Bob Foster showed up and did a lot more than take photos. we watched him get down on his knees and pick up trash in the hot sun. when the day was through, he was soaking in sweat, and he seemed happy.

Lewis MacAdams is the founder of F.O.L.A.R, and he participated and supervised the event as well.

volunteers picked up trash along the river.

this book, “Rio L.A.”, was passed around at the event. it’s an interesting read, with tales and folklore of the long rich history of the Los Angeles River.

these volunteers showed up and helped with the clean up, and played a little steel drum when the event was over.

volunteers had to rapel down and up the L.A. River walls.

when i was a kid, i spent many days playing along the L.A River. i was happy to participate in this event, and hopefully give back to a river that has given me so many happy memories.

tonight we were back at Hurricanes Bar and Grill in Huntington Beach, CA…….part of our ongoing Monday nights at Hurricanes.

the Miller Chill Girls showed up.

they hung out and danced with the Mariachis that showed up and played before we performed.

hurricanes 4/28/08

tonight we performed at Hurricanes Bar and Grill in Huntington Beach, CA. If you havent figured it out, were at Hurricanes every Monday night for awhile. i thought i would take a few pics of something different for all of you to see:

our first set was during half-time of the Laker/Nuggets game, and these two dancers had fun. their names are Brandon and Maddie.
